Information for 2018 WCCC Contestants

CHECK-IN & MOVE-IN

Each QUALIFIED contestant will choose their own cooking space, which will remain their space

for the entire weekend.

Move-in will begin at 6am on Friday and Saturday mornings. We suggest you arrive on Friday if you are particular

 about your cooking location.

Whether you choose to move-in Friday or Saturday, you must be completely set-up and ready to

cook competitively and/or serve PC chili based on the cooking schedule.

FRIDAY CHECK-IN INSTRUCTIONS

LAST CHANCE COOKS WHO ARE NOT QUALIFIED IN RED, HOMESTYLE OR VERDE

You must check-in at the Judging Area in order to receive your cooking space. Once at your cooking space, do not remove the blue claim number. A qualified cook has the opportunity to claim the cooking space you are in, although they cannot move into it until after LC competitions are over. If you qualify for the WCCC once LC winners are announced, you will then have the opportunity to choose your booth space following the “Claiming Your Space” instructions below.

LAST CHANCE COOKS ALSO WCCC QUALIFIED IN RED, HOMESTYLE OR VERDE

*Priority move-in assistance on FRIDAY will be given to contestants preparing Salsa on-site and all Last Chance contestants. If neither of those apply to you, please be patient as you wait for move-in assistance. We invite you to hang out in the Cooks’ Area for coffee, donuts and mingling with your fellow Chiliheads! Remember, you will have already claimed your space so there is no rush to move-in!

NO MOVE-IN ASSITANCE NEEDED AND NOT COOKING ON FRIDAY? As long as your claim number is white, you may begin to move your supplies to your cooking space before you check-in. If you chose a blue claim number, you must wait until after salsa/LC competitions are over to move in.
