Description

An additional event will be: The Heroes of Lawrence Chili Cookoff. Entrants will Public Safety, (Fire, Police, and EMS), and Lawrence Public School Teachers. This event will have a prize to be determined for each division, chosen by the public, and a Best of Show as chosen by our panel of chili judges

General Cookoff Information

General Cookoff Information
1 Cooks and vendors may arrive as early as 7AM. Cooks meeting will be at 9AM. This is to allow our out of town cooks an earlier departure.

2 Upon arrival, check in with Diane Shikrallah or Mark Engelberg.

3 Booths will be provided a space of at least 10??X10??.

4 You must provide your own table(s), and if needed a canopy and cooking source. Cooks and anyone using a flame for cooking purposes must also provide their own fire extinguisher at their booth. Water will be available on-site

5 For competition cooks, all ICS rules apply (see www.chilicookoff.com). Please remember to supply 1 gallon people??s choice chili for the cookoff. We encourage all to provide more, we want this 1st ever event to be successful.

6 Public Safety and Lawrence Public School entrants need to supply their chili concoction for the public to sample and judge (2 gallons minimum is suggested). These entrants do not need to follow ICS rules for competition chili.

7 ICS and Heroes awards will take place at 4:30
