Description

The Audubon Kiwanis Club of Baton Rouge and the Baton Head Injury Association are teaming up to put on the third annual Louisiana State Chili Cook-off. It will be held next door to the Annual Baton Rouge Spring Garden Show on the Louisiana State University (LSU) campus with plenty of free parking. There will be a cooks party on Friday evening before the cook-offs. Come early and stay late to visit all the local attractions. The Oaks Kiwanis Club will be sponsoring the Baton Rouge Chili Cook-off the day before at the same location
There is also a Peoples Choice contest for any that want to enter. The entry fee is $10 plus three gallons of chili, the winner will receive all of the People Choice entry fees.

General Cookoff Information

The Chase Suites Hotel by Woodfin, 5522 Corporate Blvd, Baton Rouge, is giving a special discount for out of town contestants. The special rates are $99 plus tax (the corporate rate is $159) for a one bedroom Suite, and $159 for a two bedroom suite, plus tax (corporate rate is $199). There is also RV parking and hook-ups on the LSU Campus next to the cook-off for $25/day. We are working with the Baton Rouge Visitors� Bureau to get restaurant discounts and etc. for the cook-off teams. There are lots to see and do in South Louisiana so come early and stay late. Come and enjoy a great vacation.
